Hi there! I'm Jillian.
I'm a wordsmith by trade and a psychology enthusiast by passion.

Here’s My Story
I was born and raised in Knoxville, a fast-growing college town nestled in the Tennessee Valley. As someone who has always been surrounded by the rich folklore of Appalachia, my mind is chronically imaginative and curious.

Writing became a consistent passion that earned me my Bachelor's in English in 2021. That skill is versatile and reliable – but after working in marketing for two years, I learned that there's much more to my talents than well-worded narratives and copywriting.

My heart is called to storytelling, and not just within the confines of books. At the center of every story is something that's uniquely human, a desire piloted by our experiences. My interests shifted to psychology; more specifically, the psychology of individualization, identity, and socialization. Authoring stories was a microcosm of my fascination with the self. Conjuring fictional characters and worlds requires psychological and sociological understanding.

With this newfound drive, I'm hoping to further my education in the realm of social psychology and gear my career aspirations toward human connection and interpersonal health.

“It's like everyone tells a story about themselves inside their own head. Always. All the time. That story makes you what you are. We build ourselves out of that story.”
